Permit me to set the scene. At last you get to see your partner after driving for miles. You both decide to go to the cinema. You’ve picked a good movie to watch. You’ve got the popcorn. And as the theatre lights you both fall silent.
Does anyone else see what’s wrong with this picture?
So you may be lucky enough to get a full weekend together, or maybe just a few hours, however long you are planning to spend with your partner, choosing a date where you are both silent for the whole time is NOT a good idea.
Instead try to pick some ideas that will get you chatting, touching and bonding. If you open your mind and really think hard about it, I’m sure you can think of some amazing date ideas that the both of you will enjoy. But just incase you are unable to, here are a few of my favorites.
Star Watching
Drive 20 minutes away from the bright lights. Lay a blanket on the ground and bring some warm cocoa. For the true astronomers, there is an iphone application called “Star Walk” where you can monitor the constellations and stars. This is an awesome opportunity to chat, share your childhood stories and really bond with your lover.
Ice Skating
A date at the ice rink can be one of the most fun of all. As you go around you will find your self grabbing your lovers hands. You might fall over a little if it’s your first time. But don’t worry, everyone falls over on the ice now and again. Gents, never forget to give your sweetheart a hand when she gets back on her feet. And Gals, please remember not to laugh too hard when you see your man fall. This date can get rather physical and pretty soon I’m sure you’ll be pretending to trip over just so that you can grab onto your lover.
Mountaineering
Pack a picnic, a map, and spend the day with each other in the wonderful great outdoors. Make sure you take a camera for those perfect picture moments, and remember to take a makeshift first aid kit and plenty of drinking water. This can be a fantastic activity to develop your abilities to make decisions and work with one another.
Aquarium
If you have an aquarium in your city, this can be a fantastic place to go to. Chances are during the day time it will be fairly quiet and it will offer some amazing sights of fish swimming through the waters. You could sit all day and chat with each other, learning about the animals, and also learning about one another.
Dining
You don’t always have to eat at a fancy restaurant. Sometimes your significant other will really enjoy you cooking food for them. No matter where you choose to have a dinner date, nothing quite beats eating with candle lights and flowers on the table. And guys, let me give you some sound advice. A woman will love it if you cook for her. Any type of pasta is best for me. Remember spaghetti isn’t just for two dogs to enjoy.
